Recruiting software professionals
Particularly for software development, this is one of the highest leverage
things that your leaders will do, whether they have direct line management
responsibilities or are your influence leaders. Surprisingly, not many
have gotten much help in understanding how to go about this to get the best
results. We're not talking about the all the rules one must follow,
although, of course that is important. We're talking about how to
interpret potential vs. actual performance, how to identify leaders, how to get
what you need from your interview team, how to make the decision, and so on.
We can help here either by teaching, direct
coaching, or actual participation in the recruiting you are doing.
